IM BACK! IN THE STATES!

Guys I am So sorry I have not wrote in I think weeks. It has been Very busy for me here and in Africa.
The last week of our trip in Sao Tome consisted mainly of our end of the month exhibit we put up in an art gallery in the capital of Sao Tome called CaCau. Thankfully it was a big hit and many people all throughout the city and the island came to visit for the opening and bring their friends.
But all shows must come to an end. In the same week that our work went up, they went down.

Then on July 24th, we flew out to Cape Verde without our original group leader that spoke Portuguese, but we all managed to find the right people and get the right help to still maneuver through the island of Praia. It was a very good way to end the trip, and thankfully we all came home safely without any issues, even when ever student passed through security with a used machette we all bought off of the people there:)

And now I am in the process of buying a new car (and the one we got is GORGEOUS-2002 Passat Black inside and out), unpacking, packing (school), work at the illustration agency, selling old devices online, developing my film from the trip, getting both my broken harddrive and my broken tamron lens fixed (miraculously both broke in the same week in Africa), and etc. So there is really a Lot to do-and I have not even begun to look over the rest of my photos from Africa.
Do you want to know how may photos I took on the trip all together? A little under 11K photos Just digital. That is Intense huh? So you better believe I have not found the time to thoroughly look through them all yet. I think I am going to leave that load off until school hits-once winter starts to come I am not going to be very motivated to photograph outdoors, so I plan on using that time indoors to really focus on my photos from Africa. I hope there is no harm in delaying their appearance to the world!

Anyways, I am pretty excited for school, and I hope this college is the college I am looking for. All I can do is pray:) And it has never failed me before!

I will write back when I have more to show! Thank you for reading and God bless.

  1. Congrats on the new car! I just got a 2002 too (toyota though). Ah good luck going through all the pictures and hope to see quite a few of them (but not all 11,000!). Where are you going to be going in the fall?
