Envision-Athletic Model

So this week we were all given an assignment to photograph for a campus magazine that comes out once a year called 'Envision'. My assignment was to photograph an 'athletic model' for an article that talks about how to loose freshman 15 and stay healthy and active.
Well, this was much harder than I thought it would be, since I have not exactly exposed myself to many sports shoots nor could I find much that highlighted sports and was not a half naked model or a crappy photo.

This is what I ended up with as of right now, and I think I'm just gonna go with it.

I am also SO pumped to start editing my African photos again (even though I seriously dont know when I am going to find time for that on top of school, food, family, friends, work, self, etc all in one day every day). I just quickly looked through my photos yesterday and the craving I had to open it up in photoshop and just start working-ahh what a refreshing feeling it is. It makes me miss Africa, and yet I feel like it is still so vivid in my mind that I could just visit it any time I want right there. Its still all there in my memory.
The more time away I am from the photos, the more I criticize them less and start to appreciate them more. I hope I will have more time in the winter to happily edit these and put some use to them someday besides just the blog and the website:)

  1. I love the texture of the background and how this seems to capture her beauty and the sport both.
